PELHAM – Residents are invited to enjoy a free countywide concert Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre.
The Night of Praise concert, organized by South Shelby Baptist Church, will feature gospel music performances as well as non-alcoholic beverages and concessions. The master of ceremony for the event will be Ron Foster, the host of 104.7 WZZK’s Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee.
The concert will also feature performances from gospel acts Redemptions Plan, Austin Foster, Torri Parris, John and Kris Chandler, Surrendered and Warren Sweeney.
Parking will be free and all of the musical acts are performing for free. Mike Mooney, of South Shelby Baptist, said the church hopes to make the concert an annual event.
“We just want families to come and praise the Lord and that’s it,” Mooney said.
Mooney added that the event was scheduled on a Thursday night so it wouldn’t interfere with Friday night high school football or Saturday college football.
