CHELSEA – Jordan Reynolds has been involved with Boy Scouts since the age of 12 when he joined Chelsea Troop 85, which is based at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church.

Reynolds is currently a senior at Chelsea High School and plays Tuba in the Hornet Pride Marching Band.

On Thursday, Aug. 18 an Eagle Scout Court of Honor took place as Reynolds was honored for reaching the highest achievement in all of scouting.

In order to achieve this ranking he was required to do an Eagle Scout project, for which he chose to build a roof over the already existing outdoor classroom at Chelsea Park Elementary School.

Reynolds worked alongside his Scoutmaster Preston Moore, Troop mates Wade Moore, Jake Berg, Seger Bayer and Levi Hardigree, his grandfather Jimmy Goodwin and friend Barry Rodgers. With all of their help they were able to to start and complete the project in July of 2015.

The outdoor classroom that was already there was actually built by Moore for his Eagle Scout project in 2014.

Sheri Reynolds said, after high school Jordan plans to attend college and get a degree in professional aeronautics and wants to eventually get his pilot’s license.
