FROM STAFF REPORTS
PELHAM— Vineyard Family Services is planning to move into a new office on its regularly scheduled Serve Day Saturday, July 16, according to a July 12 press release.
Volunteers interested in helping the VFS staff move, are being asked to meet at the ServePro in Pelham at 8:30 a.m. Interested parties can help by loading boxes into the U-Haul, unloading boxes at the new location, painting the walls, cleaning and vacuuming or by helping set up shelving and file cabinets.
The new location, at 2649 Pelham Parkway, is in the Pelham Promenade off U.S. 31 just past Pee Wee’s Pawn Shop. It sits next to Domino’s across from Enterprise Car Rental.
“We are so thankful for the last two years we have had at ServPro,” the release read. “So many of you have helped us get ready, praying for us, encouraging us and donating towards the expenses of this venture. We are so grateful.”
The move to the Pelham Promenade will be a temporary one until early November, according to the release, while the permanent space in the Pelham Mall is being prepared.
The release said the use of facilities in Inverness Vineyard Church and ServPro for the past eight years has allowed VFS to grow and stabilize so it “could focus on what matters most, children and families in our community.”
“Now, more than ever, we need your support and we hope that you will join us throughout this next year with your continued prayers, donations, participation and in-kind giving,” the release read. “Most of all, we thank God because He has continued to strengthen us so that we could work in the prison systems, rehab centers, family court, school systems and the general public to bring services to the at-risk community that are so needed.”
