Michael Houston Lewis, 28, was charged with felony counts of second-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance as well as misdemeanor counts of third-degree harassment, third-degree criminal mischief and open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

Lewis, who lists an address on County Road 310, was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine at his residence on April 13, according to court documents.

The documents state Lewis was also allegedly in possession of Drano, lantern fuel, pseudoephedrine and aluminum foil “with the intent to unlawfully manufacture a controlled substance.”

Lewis’s misdemeanor charges stem from an incident that took place on March 16 and 17 when he allegedly shoved a female victim, used obscene language toward her and keyed her car.

Lewis is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $264,300.

Second-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance is a Class B felony and possession of a controlled substance is a Class D felony. Third-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief are both Class A misdemeanors, and open container of alcohol in a vehicle is a Class C misdemeanor.

Class B felonies hold a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, and the maximum sentence for Class D felonies is five years in prison.
