HELENA–The Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church parking lot will once again be filled with dozens of tents and vendor booths as the church is preparing for the annual Spring Bazaar.
The Spring Bazaar will be held Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.
The event has traditionally been held in the fall and spring each year and vendors from around the Helena and Shelby County areas set up tents for those to browse their merchandise.
Some of the vendors for the Spring Bazaar include homemade crafts as well as representatives from Mary Kay, Scentsy, Usbormne Books and more. The event will be filled with arts and crafts, music and food.
Those wishing to purchase a vendor booth at the bazaar can do so for $30. This includes a 10-foot-by-10-foot space. The space does not include tables or tents but it is suggested those participating bring some.
Last time the church held the Spring Bazaar, HCPC Pastor Mike Ensminger spoke on how much the event had grown.
“This event just grows every year we have it,” said Ensminger. “We started out with 25 vendors the first year and now were up to 70. “I think it brings people together in the community and it’s a great chance to meet and talk to people. People who might not normally come to church can show up and we can talk to them and open up our doors and help them if they need any guidance.”
Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church is the oldest church in Shelby County and they will soon be celebrating their 176th anniversary in May.
Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located at 3396 Helena Road in Helena.
