PELHAM— Ballantrae Golf Club members will have the opportunity to try out the latest equipment from Callaway Golf March 25 from 8 a.m. to noon during Callaway Demo Day.

Callaway Golf provides innovative technologies to help golfers gain more enjoyment from the game, according to its website. Under the Callaway and Odyssey brands, Callaway Golf manufactures and sells golf clubs and balls, and also supplies golf apparel, footwear and accessories.

“It’s a great way, when people are looking to spend money on golf clubs, they can try them out before purchasing them,” said Hal Brown, general manager of Ballantrae.

Brown said Callaway has a full line of golf equipment, such as drivers, irons, wedges and putters. This event gives members the opportunity to ensure the equipment is a good fit for them before making a purchase.

A Callaway representative will be at the Ballantrae using Callaway equipment to measure individual swings and ball flight characteristics to recommend the equipment that is best suited to each person.

Brown said members will have the opportunity to use the clubs they are looking to purchase out on the range, and they can also use the Callaway pre-owned system to trade in clubs.

There is also no sales tax on club purchases at Ballantrae, so members will save about 9 to 10 percent, according to Brown.

“Last year we had a great turnout since the event was scheduled on Good Friday,” Brown said. “We scheduled it on Good Friday again this year to hopefully have a similar turnout.
