Man facing charges for alleged drug distribution in North Shelby

NORTH SHELBY—A West Blocton man is facing felony drug charges after allegedly distributing marijuana along U.S. 280 in March and April 2015.
Michael David Greene, 32, was arrested on Jan. 25 and charged with three counts of distribution of marijuana. According to court documents, Greene allegedly distributed marijuana from two different locations near U.S. 280 in North Shelby.
On March 2 and April 7, Greene allegedly distributed marijuana from the 7000 block of Cahaba Valley Road, near the intersection of Cahaba Valley Road and U.S. 280.
On March 24, he allegedly distributed marijuana from the 5300 block of U.S. 280, near The Village at Lee Branch shopping center.
Greene was placed in the Shelby County Jail on Jan. 25 and released the same day after posting the $30,000 bond.
Distribution of marijuana is a Class B felony. If convicted, Greene could face up to 20 years in prison for each count.
