Vincent girls handle Fayetteville

VINCENT – The Vincent basketball Yellow Jackets held Fayetteville to just three field goals, total, during their Dec. 15 matchup. The visiting Fayetteville Lady Lions managed just 13 total points in the game and never scored more than six points in any one quarter as Vincent moved to 5-7 overall with an easy 42-13 win. The Yellow Jackets also did not score a single point in the fourth quarter as they wound down the clock.
The Lady Yellow Jackets attacked the offensive glass all evening, and gobbled up 33 offensive rebounds, which led to 14 second chance points. Of those 33 offensive boards, 10 went to Quennesa Crawford, who also had 16 points during the game to lead Vincent. Vincent also accounted for 27 total steals, which led to 29 points as well. Every single Vincent point came either as a direct result of a turnover or an offensive rebound.
Crawford led the way with 16 points and 12 total rebounds, good for a double-double, while Jasmine Banks was the next highest scorer with six. Ma’Kayla Cohill also added four points as well.
