HELENA–The Coal Yard Bar and Grill Restaurant in Old Town Helena has decided to team up to donate a portion of sales they receive from gift card purchases to donate to schools in the Helena area.

The program, titled “Helena helping Helena” will run now and through the holiday season until Jan. 8, 2016.

For every $25 gift card sold at The Coal Yard, the restaurant pledges to donate $10 directly to a Helena school.

Those purchasing gift cards can designate which Helena school they would like the money to go toward.

The Coal Yard is encouraging Helena residents to purchase the gift cards for the holidays and in return, will be helping schools in Helena with their purchase.

To purchase a gift card, customers can visit The Coal Yard located at 4085 Helena Road or call the restaurant at 624-3614.

The Coal Yard is open Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.

“All of us at The Coal Yard Restaurant want to wish you and your family a Happy Holiday season. We, with your help, are very proud to be able to assist the schools and students of Helena,” read a statement regarding the gift card sales.
