Art to abound at Seventh Annual Artist Market

Straight from their studios across the Birmingham area, artist members of the Shelby County Arts Council present the 7th Annual Artist Market on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Everyone is invited to shop from a group of the finest craftsmen in the South. Unique, beautifully crafted items will include jewelry from Judith Elliot and Steampunk Jewelry; paintings of all sizes by Mary Ann Brechin, folk artist Brian Bohannan, Deborah Gamel, Diane Hathcock and Danielle Tickle; Print maker Lindsay Dyess, gourd artists Lynn Marino and Teresa Wamble, and photographer Madelyn Carr-Bonnet.
The SCAC Pottery Collective will also have functional and decorative art created by Sandra Annonio, Pam Britnell, Karen Ingram, Candye Lundy, Amy Pickens, Nita Terrell and Peggy Wood.
Joining for the first year will be artist Duffy Morrison and wood worker Joyce Darby as well as ceramic artists Ann Enoch and Ann Fontaine.
Located in the charming town of Columbiana, the Shelby County Arts Council is located at 104 Mildred Street.
Come for the market and then join the city’s Old Fashion Christmas Tour of Homes sponsored by the city’s Beautification Board. These two events will make for a big day in the small town of Columbiana.
