Rickey Joe Jenkins, age 62, of Tuscaloosa, died Thursday, Nov. 19.

Rickey was a US Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. His motto was: “I was born to serve; not to be served.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Martha Jenkins. He is survived by his daughter, Rikki “Nikki” Hamilton (Alexis) of Vance; grandchildren, Ricky Hamilton and Nicholas Hamilton; and brother, Mike Jenkins (Nancy) of Bessemer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 22 from 2-4 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery. Bro. Bill Donaldson will officiate.
