Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Jones of Atmore, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Miriam Clare, to Adam Paul Vansant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Burns Vansant, of Hoover, Ala.

Miss Jones is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Gordon Sr. of Atmore, Ala., the late Mrs. Ouida Parker Murphy of Atmore and Mr. Robert R. Jones Jr. of Montgomery, Ala.

She is a graduate of Auburn University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Miss Jones is employed with ServisFirst Bank in Birmingham, Ala., working in the Correspondent Banking Division.

Mr. Vansant is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burbank of Columbiana, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Vansant of Wilsonville, Ala.

He is a graduate of Auburn University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He currently works in the accounting department with Sterne Agee & Leach Inc. in Birmingham, Ala.

An April wedding is planned in Auburn, Ala. The couple will reside in Vestavia Hills, Ala.
