William “Bill” Estock, age 85, of Shelby, died Monday, Oct. 19.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at the funeral home. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Mr. Estock was a Boy Scout Leader with Blessed Sacrament School Birmingham and was a Fire Chief with the Shelby Volunteer Fire Department. He spent two years in active duty with the Marines and later was a Chief Master Sergeant with the Alabama Air National Guard. Mr. Estock was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City.
Mr. Estock was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen Estock (Lallage), Edward J. Estock (Dot), Clarence T. Estock (Betty) and Harold M. Estock (Lynette), and two sisters, Anna Louise Estock Parker (Ralph) and Mildred Estock Johnson (Olin).
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Estock; son, William M. Estock, Jr. (Susan); daughter, Mary Lee Estock Erhart (Mike); granddaughters, Miranda Faye Estock and Marissa Greene Estock; grandsons, Stephen Michael Erhart and Adam Charles Erhart; one brother, Robert Estock, M.D. (Patty); two sisters, Mary Agnes Estock Johnson (Charles) and Patricia S. Estock Woods (Jack); and numerous other family and friends.
