A Wilton man died in a single-vehicle crash on the night of Oct. 1 near Chelsea.

Ronald Eugene Cox, 22, was killed when the 1992 Lexus LS400 he was driving left the roadway and overturned on Shelby County 280, three miles west of Chelsea, at 10:20 p.m., Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel wrote in a press release.

Cox was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No more information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
