With frills, flowers and just the right amount of twirl, Wind Charmer’s dresses are perfect for any occasion in a little girl’s life. Founded and operated by three sisters-in-law, the company specializes in vintage-inspired girl’s clothing.

Mary Beth, Jamie and Sandi Meeks launched Wind Charmer clothing this past spring, and released the line’s first collection this fall.

“There are three of us married to brothers, and one thing we know for sure is girls!” Wind Charmer marketing director Jamie said, noting between the three sisters-in-law, they have eight little girls.

The Wind Charmer fall collection features a floral top dress with button accents, a dress and bloomer combination outfit with a frilled collar and several varieties of Wind Charmer’s signature “penny,” a twist on the traditional pinafore.

“I wanted something more simple, vintage-based,” Wind Charmer designer Mary Beth said. “The dress is just an instrument for a girl’s inner beauty.”

The entire design process, from inspiration to the creation of samples, takes time, Mary Beth said.

“There’s so much that goes into it,” Mary Beth said. “I draw inspiration first… I love to look at old family photographs.”

Next, Mary Beth selects the material and accents for the dress, focusing on quality. Wind Charmer dresses are not just pretty, they’re also comfortable and sturdy, Mary Beth explained.

“That’s what we want, we want kids to be kids,” Mary Beth said. “We want them to play and be kids.”

Mary Beth is already planning Wind Charmer’s spring line, which will include dresses and a skirt for older girls.

Wind Charmer dresses are already being worn by little girls across the country, from California to Boston.

“Once people see them and get them and put them on their kids, they fall in love,” Jamie said.

“The biggest compliment ever is seeing somebody’s little girl on our dresses,” Mary Beth added.

While Wind Charmer’s primary business is online, shoppers can browse the fall collection at the upcoming Mt Laurel Fall Festival on Oct. 17.
