ALABASTER – Those looking to savor the fall weather while perusing local vendors and enjoying live music will have a chance to do so on Alabaster’s Buck Creek Trail in late October.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will again host the annual Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the trail, which is near the Alabaster Senior Center.
Fall Fest, which has been held in the city since 2009, will feature arts and crafts vendors, a trick-or-treat trail for children, live music from the local band 2Blu and the Lucky Stiffs, food vendors and more.
Many of the vendors from Alabaster’s 2015 farmers’ market will set up booths at this year’s Fall Fest.
Parking will be available at Buck Creek Park at 701 Sixth Ave. S.W. or off 11th Avenue near the Alabaster Senior Center and City Hall.
The city will accept vendor applications for the festival from Sept. 21-Oct. 9. Those selected as vendors will be required to obtain a one-day business license from the city’s Revenue Department by calling 664-6844.
The city will collect vendor applications through Oct. 9 before contacting the vendors who are selected to participate in the event.
Only one vendor per business will be allowed to participate in the Fall Fling.
