HOOVER – All lanes of U.S. 280 eastbound have been re-opened after an overturned vehicle slowed traffic for nearly an hour.

The one-vehicle accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. between Valleydale Road and Meadow Drive. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on scene and directed traffic while the roadway was cleared.

According to the SCSO, obstructions have been removed and traffic is flowing again. The SCSO urges drivers to use caution if driving through the area.
