BIRMINGHAM – Aldi will be looking to hire several positions for its Birmingham-area stores during an upcoming job fair in Birmingham.

The grocery store company, which operates stores off U.S. 31 in Pelham and Alabaster in Shelby County, will host the hiring fair at the Courtyard Marriott at 3590 Grandview Parkway off U.S. 280 in Tuesday, Aug. 4.

The hiring fair will be open from 8 a.m.-noon and from 1-5 p.m., and will focus on hiring store associates, shift managers and manager trainees for all Aldi Birmingham-area stores.

Interested applicants must be at least 18, must have a high school diploma or GED, must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday-Sunday, must be able to lift 45 pounds and must pass a drug screening and background check.

Retail experience is preferred for all applicants, and management experience is preferred for manager trainees.
