HELENA–Spring is approaching and that means warmer weather and the start of baseball and softball seasons.

On Saturday, March 7, an Opening Day ceremony will be held for the Helena youth baseball and softball teams where families are encouraged to come out beginning at 9 a.m. at the Helena Sports Complex.

“We have about a four or five hour agenda planned of events such as practice games, pictures and more,” said Jason Powers, director of Helena Parks and Recreation.

All teams will be announced around 10 a.m. and Helena resident and WIAT 42 News Anchor Stephen Hauck will throw out the first pitch.

There will be plenty of games, bouncing houses and food at the park for the whole family to enjoy.
