PELHAM- The Pelham Tennis Center will be hosting a free men’s clinic for beginner and low-level tennis players on Jan. 17.

The instructor will be USPTA certified Elite-Pro Steve Falkner.

The clinic will be on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. until noon. There will be an additional four clinic sessions over the next four Saturdays that will also start at 11 a.m. and end at noon. If any clinic session is cancelled because of weather, the session will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.

During the clinic, Falkner will cover the basic rules of tennis, court etiquette, stroke techniques and related footwork.

Play type drills will also be implemented to teach participants doubles strategy.

To register for the clinic, email Ken Vines at Kvines@pelhamonline.com or call the Pelham Tennis Center at 620-6428. Spaces for the clinic are limited and the tennis center suggests players who wish to participate call or email as soon as possible to reserve a space.

If you wish to register and do not have tennis equipment, the tennis center will provide loaner racquets.
