Charles Stroud, age 78, of Pelham, went to be with his Lord Dec. 20.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22 at First Baptist Church of Columbiana with Rev. Mike Miller, Hugh Richardson, and John Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22 at First Baptist Church of Columbiana. Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana directing.
Charles served in the ministry for more than fifty years.  His last tenure was Associational Missionary for the Shelby Baptist Association, Columbiana.
Mr. Stroud is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Benton Stroud.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred C. Stroud; one brother, Dr. Roger Stroud; three sons, John Lee Stroud, Charles Jeffrey Stroud, and Joseph Benton Stroud; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
