Woman arrested and charged with robbery

COLUMBIANA—A 21-year-old woman was charged with first-degree robbery after allegedly attempting “to commit a theft” of a “wallet and contents, currency” while armed with a handgun, according to court documents.
Vicki Alexanderia Edwards, who lists an address in Dolomite, was arrested on Aug. 28 by Calera Police Department, according to court documents.
Edwards is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $30,000 and is set to appear before Judge Dan Reeves.
Robbery in the first degree is a Class A felony. If found guilty, Edwards could face between 10 and 99 years in prison.
