Vincent Middle/High School gets new assistant principal

COLUMBIANA—Kelvin Riley was unanimously approved as the new assistant principal for Vincent Middle/High School during an Aug. 21 meeting of the Shelby County Board of Education.
Riley, who has 15 years of experience in public education, is currently a teacher and administrative assistant at the Shelby County College and Career Center.
Riley obtained a bachelor’s degree in comprehensive math education and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Troy State University.
“I want to thank you all for giving me this opportunity,” Riley told the board. “I am excited to get started.”
