ALABASTER – The newly renovated Ernest McCarty Ford dealership on U.S. 31 will celebrate with the community on Aug. 23 with a grand reopening ceremony.

The event will be held at the dealership at 1471 First St. N. in Alabaster from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The grand reopening will feature food and drinks, inflatable games for kids and tours of the renovated dealership.

“We will have an assortment of vintage Fords and pictures of the dealership through the years,” said Ernest McCarty Finance Manager Nick Farnham. “We’ve been here for 30-plus years, and we want to celebrate with the community.”

The event also will feature giveaways, with the grand prize being tickets to the 2014 Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.

“Thank you to the community for the tremendous support through the years,” Farnham wrote in an email. “We look forward to serving you for many more. We want to be your Ford dealer.”
