Meet Slo Mo and Brawny

The 2014 ASPCA Rachel Ray $100k Challenge will be over at the end of this month. We are one of only 50 shelters accepted into this national challenge, and we are trying to save more lives than ever before. Every adoption we do through Aug. 31 counts. If we can save more than the other 49 shelters, we can win the grand prize of $100,000 to help us continue our life-saving work. Meet this week’s highlighted pets that need your help to find forever homes.
Slo Mo is a 1-year-old basset mix weighing about 40 pounds. Floppy ears, stumpy legs, soulful eyes and a waggle when he walks makes this boy one-of-a-kind cute. He can be a bit shy in new situations, but once he gets a chance to warm up he will do his best to wiggle right into your heart.
Brawny is a 3-month-old kitten with great big eyes and an even bigger heart. This little grey tabby arrived with a wound on his mouth, covered in fleas and scared, but after just a short time in a foster home he recovered and began to show how much love he had to share.
