PELHAM—Stop by the Pelham Public Library and learn to make the most of your hard-earned money and coupons in “Saving $$$ with Coupons,” on Oct. 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“Everybody knows about coupons, but not everybody knows how to get the maximum benefit from coupons,” Pelham Public Library Adult Services Coordinator David Smith said.
The class, led by Alabama Cooperative Extension Agent Angela Treadaway, will go over tips and tricks to “stretch coupons” and help families save on expenditures such as groceries, Smith explained.
The couponing program is sponsored by the library’s Smart Investing @ Your Library grant from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association. The library has used the grant to fund a variety of family financial education initiatives, such as a canning class led by Treadaway on July 28.
“(This program) is aimed at families,” Smith said. “It’s hard when you have a family to make the most of your money.”
The program is free and open to anyone interested in couponing. To reserve a seat, call the library at 620-6418.
