Chelsea woman charged with attempted murder

CHELSEA—A Chelsea woman was arrested by law enforcement and charged with one count of attempted murder after allegedly discharging a firearm at a victim, according to court documents.
Police arrested 40-year-old Traci Lanell Lee, whose address is listed in the 200 block of Lime Creek Lane in Chelsea, on July 16.
According to charging documents, Lee allegedly discharged a handgun or firearm “at/near” the victim “with intent to commit the crime of murder” on or about July 15.
Lee was released from the Shelby County Jail after posting bonds totaling $50,000 on July 16.
Attempted murder is a Class A felony. If found guilty, Lee could face up to life in prison. Lee is set to appear before Judge Dan Reeves on August 13 for a preliminary hearing.
