SCBOE names Oak Mountain assistant principal

COLUMBIANA—The Shelby County Board of Education approved Kendall Jackson as the new assistant principal at Oak Mountain High School during their June 5 meeting.
Jackson has taught English at Thompson High School for the past nine years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from Samford University and a master’s degree in secondary education and education leadership from the University of Montevallo.
“I’m so excited to be back with Shelby County Schools, and I’m ready to work hard for you, our system and our students,” Jackson said.
