Joey and Mylana Motes of Columbiana are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn Motes, to Jason Wayne Harrison, the son of Sharon Wear Harrison and of the late Everett Lynn Harrison of Pinson.

Jessica is the granddaughter of Ann Horton of Wilsonville, Roger Motes and the late Ruby Motes of Pelham. She is a full time nursing student at Jeff State pursuing a career in hospice care and employed by CVS. She was a 2008 graduate of Shelby County School of Technology/SCHS.

Jason is the grandson of Betty Joy Wear of Vandiver. He is employed as a general manager with Advanced Auto Parts. He was a 2004 graduate of Pinson Valley High school.

The couple plan to be married Aug. 2, 2014, and will reside at their home in Leeds.
