NORTH SHELBY — Birmimgham-based singer-songwriter group Act of Congress will headline Music in the Park May 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mt Laurel Park. The event is free.
Hosted by Double Oak Community Church, Music in the Park also will feature free bounce houses for children and food available for purchase from Birmingham’s favorite food trucks, including Melt, Saw’s Street Kitchen BBQ and Steel City Pops. A percentage of sales from each food truck will help support summer mission trips.
Music in the Park will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside Double Oak Community Church, located at 115 Olmsted St., Birmingham.
