You may have noticed some new names and titles over the past few weeks while thumbing through the pages of the Shelby County Reporter.

We’ve had several exciting changes recently, and all of them are focused on making Alabama’s best community newspaper even better than it already is.

I recently was fortunate enough to become managing editor of the Reporter – a title that greatly that honors and humbles me. I’ve been blessed to live in Shelby County for most of my life, and I can think of no greater personal honor than telling the stories that make our county so great.

We have an incredibly talented and dedicated group of reporters, and I consider myself lucky to be in the presence of great coworkers. The team we have in place will allow us to continually improve on what really matters: Serving our readers and our communities.

With the changes we’ve made and the new faces we’ve added, we’ve also changed up our coverage a little bit. Some of the best stories we’ve run over the years have come from news tips from our readers, so I feel it’s important for you to know how to reach us.
