Reflections from the storm

Dear Editor,

In the midst of the cold weather, the snow, the icy roads, people stranded away from home, sleeping in cars, sleeping at their workplace, children having to stay at school and daycare overnight, people are helping each other in any way that they can.

Even in all of this, it seems as though the snow has caused a renewing in faith, a rebuilding of trust, an outburst of love and an abundance of hope and an overflow of compassion and prayer.

It seems like the snow brought a sense of cleansing and refreshing in our spirit.

I saw posts of people stranded, stuck in traffic, abandoning their cars, walking miles in the snow, sleeping in cars, running out of gas, some were stranded away from their families. But in all of this, I noticed each of these situations praise, thanks and gratefulness were given to God.

People are praying, God has a plan, God has a purpose, God makes provisions and God keeps his promises.

We are blessed.
