The following schools and businesses will delay opening or close Thursday, Feb. 13 due to winter weather:

• Alabaster City Schools will be closed.
• Hoover City Schools will be closed. Select evening events may still occur.
• Shelby County Schools will be closed.
• University of Montevallo will open at 1 p.m.
• Hilltop Montessori School will be closed.
• YMCAs will open at 10 a.m.
• Jefferson State Community College locations will be closed.
• North Shelby Library will open at noon.
