COLUMBIANA — The Shelby County Judicial Commission has nominated three attorneys who will be considered to succeed Shelby County Circuit Judge Hub Harrington, who will retire effective Feb. 15.

The nominees are:

• Aubrey “Jay” Holloway
• Patrick E. Kennedy
• Corey B. Moore

A total of 15 attorneys were nominated to succeed Harrington last month. The judicial commission convened Feb. 10 to narrow the field down to three nominees. Gov. Robert Bentley now has 90 days to select one of the three names submitted to serve as circuit judge until the next general election.
