It’s time for Friday night high school football, and Brian Coshatt is getting ready to take off on his Robinson Raven 2 for the Friday Night Blitz with ABC 33/40 sportscaster Mike Raita and cameraman Mark Herndon at his side.
“I remember one Friday I was leaving Vestavia Hills High School headed to Fayette. I was looking out the window, the sun was going down, the moon was coming up, the stars were out. I turned to them and I said, guys, this is just beautiful.”
Coshatt is the sole pilot for Express Helicopters, the only full service helicopter charter in the state, based at the Birmingham International Airport. Coshatt helps everyone from members of the media to couples celebrating an anniversary experience the same beauty he has seen from hundreds of feet in the air for three decades.
