Some people say, “Go big or go home.” Here at Shelby Humane Society, we say, “Go big and take one home!” This week’s featured pets are Big Momma and Hoss.

Big Momma is a 4-year-old red and white hound mix, weighing about 50 pounds. She’s big on size (but not too big), big on heart, kisses, smiles, snuggles, and really big on getting out of the shelter and into a forever home. This sweetheart is just the dog you have been looking for to join your family.

Hoss is a 10-pound, 3-year-old orange tabby cat. This big, handsome fellow has a soulful look and demeanor. As a companion he will listen about your crazy day without interrupting, cuddle when it is cold, rainy, or just a good time to do so, mellow you out when you’re stressed, and remind you every time his food bowl gets a little low.

For more information on these two big-hearted pets, contact an adoption counselor by email mwayman@shelbyhumane.org or call 205-669-3916 ext. 22.
