City of Chelsea hosting electronic waste collection Jan. 4

CHELSEA — The City of Chelsea will collect electronic waste, save televisions, as part of its E-Day event Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chelsea City Hall.
The public is invited to bring the following items for disposal:
- Anything that plugs in, except televisions (Examples: refrigerators, dryers)
- All types of metals (Examples: shelving, file cabinets)
- All types of batteries, car included
- Telephones/cell phones
- Scanners
- Print cartridges
- Barbecue grills without gas tanks
- Lawnmowers emptied of gasoline
- Computer components ($10 disposal charge for hard drives)
- Computer monitors ($7.50 disposal charge)
- Power supplies
For the exception of computers and computer parts, all other items will be disposed of at no charge.
