CALERA — The Calera Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 40-year-old white female that occurred around 6 p.m. Dec. 5, according to a news release by Calera Police Chief Sean Lemley.

The suspect is currently in custody and on an investigative hold, according to the release.

With the case still under investigation, no other information will be released at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
