Dear Editor,

Monster Walk is an annual tradition in Columbiana where merchants, professionals and churches give back to the community with treats for all who come to Main Street.

As I stood from 4-5:30 p.m. giving out bags of candy to children of all ages, I was so proud to be a part of this wonderful event. Every child was polite and thankful. The crowds were huge even with the threat of rain.

What a wonderful place to live when families can trick or treat in a safe fun environment. Columbiana is a true 21st Century Mayberry.

A huge thanks to the Columbiana Police Department for keeping everyone safe.
