NORTH SHELBY — The Salvation Army will kick off its annual Angel Tree Drive and Red Kettle Drive at the Inverness Chick-fil-A off U.S. 280 Nov. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The general public is invited to visit Chick-fil-A’s Santa Cow and little Elf Cow as they ring the bell for the first day of the Red Kettle Drive. Santa Cow and little Elf Cow also will be available for pictures. In addition, the Salvation Army’s five-piece brass ensemble band will perform some old holiday favorites.
Anyone interested in donating to Angel Tree should bring an unwrapped toy for children age 12 and under. All money and toys collected in Shelby County will stay in Shelby County, said Chick-fil-A marketing director Peggi Zinser.
