Sylvia Schwaiger Burks, age 70, of Shelby, passed away on Sept. 28, 2013. The funeral mass will be 11 a.m. on Oct. 1 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 80 Saint Thomas Way, Montevallo, AL 35115, with Father Ray Dunmyer presiding.
