While Sue and Dan Doley’s Riverchase home is stunning in its own right, it’s the addition of a personal touch that truly sets it apart from other local homes.
Numerous pieces of Sue’s own artwork adorn the walls, colorful abstract paintings that belie the fact Sue has never had any formal artistic training.
“I dabbled in it when the kids were growing up,” Sue said. “When the kids went off to college, it really gave me something to do.”
She’s been painting prodigiously for about 10 years, and while she has shown her paintings to sell, she now mainly paints for herself, family and friends. Her pieces, which are sometimes intensely personal, require time and patience to complete.
