Hoover a football hub

The city of Hoover has long been known as a football hotbed for the state of Alabama. With the help of the National Select 7-on-7 tournament, it is becoming a countrywide hub for high school football.
The tournament brings 32 of the nation’s top high school football programs to the city to compete in what is essentially an offensive and defensive skill position competition. As the name suggests, seven offensive players consisting of the quarterback, running backs and receivers and a player to snap the ball line up against seven defensive players consisting of line backers and defensive backs and play on a shortened field.
