Lay Lake drawdown set for Oct. 15-17

WILSONVILLE – Alabama Power Company will lower the water levels of Lay Lake in October to allow for better lakebed access for permitted construction projects, according to an Alabama Power press release.
Water levels will be lowered from 396 feet to about 393 feet Oct. 15-17. Refill is scheduled to begin Oct. 19 with water levels back to normal Oct. 31, according to the press release.
Residents and contractors are encouraged to visit Alabama Power’s automated information system at 1-800-LAKES11 or Lakes.alabamapower.com for updates about water levels. Anyone considering construction projects is encouraged to visit Alabamapower.com for information about permits.
