Have you ever wished you could live a fairy-tale life? Shelby Humane Society certainly believes in happily ever after, but it only comes true when you become part of the story.

The fair May and the enchanting Teal are awaiting their Prince Charming to rescue them. They know all too well real life has ups and downs, but they will give you a love more potent than any magic for the gift of a second chance.

May is a cute 6-year-old Golden Retriever mix ready to lap up all the happiness in life she can get her paws on. She does qualify for our “Seniors for Seniors” program. Thanks to a grant from the Daniel Foundation of Alabama, Shelby Humane will waive her adoption fee for approved senior citizen adoptees.

Teal is a beautiful 2-year-old tuxedo shorthaired cat. She has a soft coat along with a gentle personality. She would love a window to perch in when it’s sunny and a lap to snuggle in when it’s anything else.
