Steven G. Pearson, age 52, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on May 2 at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Linholm officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on May 1 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Mr. Pearson is preceded in death by his father, Billy Pearson; brother, Phillip Pearson; and brother-in-law, Chuck Dobbs.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda Pearson; daughter, Jolena Pearson; mother, Joyce Pearson; mother-in-law, Josephine Beard; brothers, Kenny Ray Pearson (Renee), Billy Jo Pearson (Carrie); sisters-in-law, Pat Pearson, Charlotte Wolfe (Dan) and Sheila Dobbs; nieces, Haleigh, Eva, Stacey and Lisa; nephews, Nicholas, Hunter, Jared, Jeremy and Rick; and numerous other family and friends.
