HOOVER — Veterans Park on Valleydale Road in Hoover will serve as the site of Celebrate Hoover Day May 4.

The event will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Parking will be at Spain Park High School.

At 10 a.m., officials will dedicate veterans memorial pavers, while at 10:30 a.m. organizers will present and serve a giant apple pie with ice cream.

The event will also feature a kids zone, carnival rides, a car show, live entertainment, an exhibitor pavilion, document destruction and e-cycling, an American Red Cross blood drive and complimentary mini-services from the Aveda Institute.
