The Vincent Yellow Jackets softball team scored nine unanswered runs in the final two innings of a 13-1 win over Victory Christian April 18.

Vincent seventh-grader Makalla Odom picked up the win allowing four hits with an earned run with seven strikeouts and a walk. Crisslyn Jones went 3-fo-3 with three RBIs, three runs and three stolen bases. Courtney Barber went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Ashlynn Melton went 2-for-4 while Makalla Odom helped her own cause with a 2-for-4 effort.

With the win, Vincent (14-12, 5-1) captured the No. 1 seed in the area tournament scheduled for April 30.
