McCurdy-Strickler

Mr. and Mrs. George Russell McCurdy Jr. of Montgomery are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Redding McCurdy to Howard Martin Strickler Jr., the son of Dr. Howard Martin Strickler and Susan Strickler of Hoover.

Carrie is the granddaughter of Voncille Redding and the late Joseph Albert Redding III and of Mr. and Mrs. George Russell McCurdy of Montgomery. She is a 2007 graduate of Saint James School and graduated with a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Alabama.

Howard is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Otis Hunter of Houston, Ala., and of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas David Strickler of Berea, Ky. He is a 2007 graduate of Spain Park High School and has a bachelor of science in finance and marketing from the University of Alabama. He is currently in the Manderson master of business administration program at The University of Alabama.

The couple have set the date of August 3, 2013, for their wedding.
