The Briarwood Christian Lions scored four runs in the last two innings for a 9-5 area victory over John Carroll April 9.

Briarwood (12-15) scored a run in the sixth to break a 5-5 tie and added three insurance runs in the seventh.

Tanner Cunningham pitched two and two thirds innings in relief and allowed a run on two hits with a strikeout. Daniel Robert pitched two innings for the save and allowed a hit with two strikeouts.

Wes Hardin hit two doubles to finish the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Robert added a 3-for-5 effort with a double and two RBIs.
